New Water Cyst and Water Bacteria Discovery Alarms Millions of U.S. Citizens

In 1993, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, experienced the largest documented drinking water outbreak in US history. Over 400,000 people became infected with the Cryptosporidium parasite causing intestinal cramps, bloating, and watery diarrhea. They estimate the outbreak resulted in over $96 million in combined healthcare costs and job loss.

Research has found that certain parasites, bacteria, debris, and other microorganisms exist in many water supplies all over the United States. These include CryptosporidiumGiardia, and the newer protozoan discovered in the early 2000s, Cyclospora. Every year there are up to 12 million reported cases of waterborne gastrointestinal illnesses in the US. These illnesses happen by drinking contaminated water that contains cyst water, bacteria water, viruses, or other harmful elements.

Water Cyst and water Bacteria are microorganisms that you cannot see in the water, feel, or taste. It would be best if you did not assume that your tap water is free from bacteria and viruses as you cannot depend on your municipal water district to guarantee they are not present. And if you have your own private water source, the risk of consuming water infected with water cyst and water bacteria is elevated because of no sanitation.

Why Your Drinking, Cooking, and Bathing Water is Contaminated with Water Cyst and Water Bacteria

When water precipitates from the atmosphere, it is in the purest form of H2O. On the ascension to earth, the water becomes contaminated with solid particles, liquid particles, and toxic gases from the automotive exhaust, airplane exhaust, manufacturing plant exhaust, stoves, fireplaces, cigarette smoke, fireworks, dust, pollen, mold spores, volcanoes, wildfires, and other sources. When the water hits the ground surface and permeates deep below the ground, it picks up contaminants from animal fecal matter, crop dusting, forest fires, pesticides, fertilizers, weed killers, surface trash, and others.

City, County, and State water districts only test for a handful of Organic Matter, Cyst water, Bacteria water, and Inorganic Matter before delivering water to your home or business. Our modern-day Water Treatment plants do not have the filtration equipment or financial resources to test for all these toxic contaminants and then filter them out. If you have a private rural water supply, the odds of having bacteria water and cyst water are much higher than if you have municipal water.

The burden of removing these contaminants and ensuring you do not drink, cook, or bathe in water cyst and water bacteria falls upon you as the homeowner or business operator. This cyst water and bacteria water contaminants do not dissipate and dissolve away. You cannot procrastinate or wish the contamination would go away. You need to call the Experts at Water Fixers Plumbing and Filtration, to remove water cyst and water bacteria contaminants from your household or business water supply.

Water Bacteria and Water Cyst Information

What Is Cryptosporidium?
Cryptosporidium is a protozoan parasite that lives in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals.

Cryptosporidium is one of the most frequent causes of waterborne diseases among humans in the United States. Like other Bacteria and Cysts, Cryptosporidium is a germ found in the fecal matter of a human or animal that causes severe diarrhea and flu-type symptoms. It has a tough outer shell that allows it to survive for a long time in the environment. It is resistive to Chlorine and can survive for days even in chlorinated water suppliers. The disease caused by the germ is cryptosporidiosis. We find the germ in every part of the United States and around the world.

How is Cryptosporidiosis spread?
An infected person or animal can release Millions of Crypto germs in a single bowel movement. Releasing of Crypto germs into the feces can last several weeks after the symptoms stop. You can become infected after swallowing the parasite. We may find cryptosporidium in soil, food, water, or surfaces contaminated with the feces from infected humans or animals. Contact with blood can not spread cryptos such as the AIDS virus and other pathogens.

People transmit Cryptosporidium by putting something in his or her mouth contaminated with infected feces. This includes surfaces infected with Crypto such as bathroom handles, changing tables, diaper pails, or toys that contain feces from an infected person or animal. Also by drinking water or consuming ice made from water sources where Crypto is inhabiting, or swallowing water while swimming or playing in the water where Crypto may live, in swimming pools, hot tubs, Jacuzzis, lakes, rivers, springs, ponds, and streams. Also by eating uncooked food that contains Crypto germs, and having contact with someone ill with Cryptosporidium while changing diapers, clothes, or sheets, and by exposure to human feces through sexual contact.

What Is Giardia?
Giardiasis is a disease caused by the microscopic parasite Giardia. Once Giardia infects a person or animal, the parasite lives in the intestines of its host and passed in feces during bowel movements. Once outside the host’s body, Giardia can survive for weeks or months. Giardia lives anywhere in the United States and multiple regions around the world. Giardia is very common in rural water (private wells) where the homeowner or caretaker does not sanitize the water.

What Is E.coli?
Escherichia coli (E.coli) are bacteria that live in the intestines of people and animals. It can survive in an environment with or without air and depending on the environment may or may not produce thin hair-like structures that allow the E.coli to attach to human cells. We find E.coli bacteria worldwide and there are many strains with over 700 distinct variations.

Most E.coli live in the small intestine and colon and do not cause disease in the intestine, a non-pathogenic classification. However, the non-pathogenic E.coli can cause disease if they spread outside of the intestines such as the urinary tract where they cause bladder or kidney infections, or into the bloodstream. Other E.coli strains like EEC cause poisoning or diarrhea in the intestine by producing toxins or intestinal inflammation.

How is E.coli spread?

You get an E.coli infection by coming into contact with the feces of humans or animals. This can happen when you drink water or eat food that feces contaminate. Lakes, pools, and water supplies become infected with feces containing E.coli, or when a city or municipal water does not contain chlorine, or when people swallow water while swimming in a lake, pool, or irrigation canal.

The bacteria can also spread from one person to another when an infected person does not wash their hands well enough after a bowel movement. E.coli can spread from an infected person’s hands to objects they touch, handle, or embrace.

What Is Cyclospora?
Cyclospora cayetanensis is a parasite composed of a single cell that causes an intestinal infection called cyclosporiasis. People become infected with Cyclospora when coming into contact with objects contaminated with infected feces. In 1997, Cyclospora outbreaks reported that people eating fresh fruits such as strawberries and raspberries had become infected.

How is Cyclospora spread?

People become infected with Cyclospora by putting something in his or her mouth contaminated with infected feces. This allows the wide-spread distribution of the parasite by swallowing contaminated water or food. Cyclospora needs days and sometimes weeks after being passed in a bowel movement to develop into an infectious parasite. Therefore, transmitting Cyclospora from an infected person to an uninfected person is not as likely to occur.

What Is Legionella?
Legionnaires’ disease (LEE-juh-nares) is a bacteria called Legionella. Legionella bacterium is pneumonia that got its name in 1976 when many people who went to a Philadelphia convention of the American Legion suffered from an outbreak of this disease. Although Legionella bacteria existed before 1976, more illness from Legionnaires’ disease is being diagnosed now because people with pneumonia are also being tested for Legionella. Each year, between 8,000 and 18,000 people become hospitalized with Legionnaires’ disease in the U.S.A. We find more illness in the summer and early fall, but it can happen at any time of year.

How is Legionella spread?

We find legionella bacteria in water and also in the environment. Legionella grows best in warm water such as hot tubs, Jacuzzis, cooling towers, boiling water heater tanks, large plumbing systems, and parts of large air-conditioning systems. People get Legionnaires’ disease when they breathe in a mist or vapor that contaminated with the bacteria, such as steam from a whirlpool spa that has not cleaned and disinfected. People do not spread Legionella is from one person to another person.

Potential Legionella outbreaks are more likely when two or more people become ill in the same place, such as patients in hospitals. Hospitals have complex water systems, and many people in hospitals already have illnesses that increase their risk of Legionella infection. We have linked other Legionella outbreaks to cruise ship hotels, whirlpool spas, cooling towers, and water used for drinking and bathing.
