The City of Morro Bay identifies State Water Project surface water as its primary drinking-water source and supplements that supply with groundwater from the Morro Basin. Existing softeners or whole-house filters, feed pressure, filter condition and current source blend can affect the water reaching an under-sink system. Morro Bay’s municipal brackish-water RO plant is city infrastructure; it is not the same thing as a household drinking-water RO system.
