MEET THE BOSS — ACCORDING TO HARLEY
Meet Harley, Shop Dog & Chief Morale Officer
Harley is Water Fixers’ resident maltipoo, self-appointed supervisor, security department and expert on knowing exactly what everyone is doing at all times.
He has been coming to the Water Fixers shop his entire life. Harley practically grew up in the office with Lynda, who has known him since his puppy and potty-training days.
These days, Harley goes pretty much wherever he wants. New visitors are thoroughly inspected to make sure they are not intruders before being approved for pets. When he is not keeping tabs on the office, there is a good chance he is sleeping somewhere nearby.

HARLEY’S TIP #1
Know Where Your Main Water Shutoff Is Before You Need It
🐾 HARLEY SAYS: A plumbing emergency is a terrible time for a scavenger hunt. You know where the treats are. You should know where your water shutoff is too.
Homeowners should know where the main household water shutoff is, what it looks like and whether it is accessible. If the valve is old, corroded, leaking or stuck, do not force it just to see whether it works.
The full guide explains common shutoff locations, valve types, what to check safely and when it makes sense to call Water Fixers.
HARLEY’S TIP #2 • DRAINS & SEWERS
“Flushable” Is Doing a Lot of Work in That Sentence
🐾 HARLEY SAYS: Just because something disappears when you flush does not mean your plumbing approves. I can make a puppy treat disappear too. Different system.
Toilets are meant for human waste and toilet paper. Wipes, paper towels, hygiene products, cotton swabs, dental floss and similar items can stay intact, catch on buildup or combine with other debris farther down the drainage system—even when a package uses the word “flushable.”

HARLEY’S TIP #3 • BETTER WATER
Those White Spots Keep Coming Back for a Reason
🐾 HARLEY SAYS: If I leave spots on the glass, I get blamed. If your water does it, apparently that is chemistry.
White spotting, mineral scale and stubborn residue can be clues that hardness minerals are present, but the spots alone do not measure your water hardness. Testing gives you the actual number, so treatment decisions can be based on the water instead of guesswork.

HARLEY’S HOUSE RULES
A Little Silly Does Not Mean Sloppy
The Harley voice makes the information memorable. The technical guidance still needs to be safe, accurate, appropriately qualified and tied to the right service.
HOUSE RULE #1
Safety Beats the Joke
If water, electricity, gas, sewage or another hazard is involved, the jokes stop and the safety guidance gets plain and serious.
HOUSE RULE #2
Do Not Force It
Old valves and plumbing parts can fail when disturbed. A stuck component is not an invitation to use more muscle.
HOUSE RULE #3
Symptoms Are Clues
A drip, smell, sound or stain can point us in the right direction, but it does not always identify the whole problem.
HOUSE RULE #4
The Humans Check the Homework
Harley gets the byline energy. Victor and the Water Fixers team make sure the plumbing information is worth publishing.
