Beware of proprietary equipment. Brand-only replacement filters, limited repair options, parts that may be discontinued, and don't get locked in. Choose quality components and long-term serviceability. Water Fixers Plumbing & Filtration, 805-928-6444.

WATER FIXERS • BETTER DRINKING WATER • LOCAL SERVICE

Why Choose a Water Fixers RO System?

Better drinking water. A system worth keeping.

Your reverse osmosis system should come with quality components, a clear maintenance plan and people you can call when it needs service. Water Fixers installs our seven-model RO lineup and supports it for the years ahead.

Quality Parts. Practical Repairs. Local Accountability.

We source our systems’ components from trusted, quality-focused suppliers and select them for reliable performance, compatibility and long-term service. The value is in the complete system: appropriate equipment, professional installation and a dependable service path.

We recommend equipment that is practical to maintain and worth repairing. We advise against unnecessary proprietary lock-in when one specialized cartridge or assembly can limit your future choices.

Quality component selection

The filters, membrane, housings, fittings and other components must work together. We match replacements to the actual installed configuration.

Repair what needs attention

A worn tank, leaking fitting or dripping faucet may be an individual repair. Diagnosis helps avoid replacing a whole system unnecessarily.

One local team over time

Water Fixers combines plumbing and water-treatment service, from installation and startup to filters, pressure checks and repairs.

Why We Advise Against Unnecessary Proprietary Lock-In

Some RO systems depend on manufacturer-specific cartridges, connectors or replacement assemblies. Others offer greater flexibility in compatible service parts. Quick-change convenience can be useful, but long-term parts support deserves as much attention as the first filter change.

Proprietary does not automatically mean poor quality. Our concern is whether your exact equipment remains practical to maintain and repair. Serviceable does not mean every filter fits every system; compatibility still needs to be verified.

A PRACTICAL RESIDENTIAL RO OWNERSHIP PLAN

Annual Filter Service. A Three-Year Membrane Review.

Plan a yearly service reminder for routine filter care and a three-year checkpoint to review membrane age, condition and performance. These are planning checkpoints, not a promise that every cartridge lasts a year or every membrane must be replaced at three years. Installed components, source water, use and manufacturer guidance determine what is due.

Yearly: filters and the complete system

Identify the cartridges and replace the filters that are due. Review housings, O-rings, tubing, fittings, tank and faucet; check pressure and delivery; flush and sanitize when appropriate; and inspect for leaks after service.

Sediment filters, carbon prefilters and final polishing filters do different jobs. Proper prefilter care also helps protect the membrane where the installed design requires it.

Around year three: membrane evaluation

Review production and treated-water performance alongside feed pressure, prefilter condition, tank behavior and service history. Replace the membrane when its performance or applicable service requirements call for it.

A healthy membrane may remain in service longer; a poorly performing membrane may need attention sooner. Slow faucet flow can also be a tank, pressure or filter issue.

A leak, no-water condition or other failure between visits belongs on the RO repair path. Do not wait for a calendar reminder to report an active problem.

OUR LINEUP

Seven RO Systems. One Local Service Team.

Compare the actual equipment, installation space, household drinking-water needs and future maintenance. The number of stages describes an arrangement; it does not by itself prove better treatment performance.

Water Fixers residential RO lineup
ModelListed stagesWhat to compare
CPS-3T3Compact CPS arrangement; review the supplied cartridges and installation package.
CPS-5T5Five-stage CPS arrangement; compare its actual filter sequence with CPS-3T.
SPS-3T3Three-stage SPS cartridge package; confirm replacement-component requirements.
SPS-5T5Five-stage SPS package; compare service needs and cabinet fit.
EPS-3T3Three-stage EPS component package; review the supplied equipment and service access.
EPS-5T5EPS package with listed 3/8-inch tank and faucet tubing; confirm the complete installation.
UPS-5T5Stainless-system option with a UV component; plan electrical access and additional maintenance.

On a smaller screen, swipe the table sideways to compare all columns.

For UPS-5T, confirm the supplied UV equipment, electrical needs and maintenance requirements. A UV component alone does not establish verified microbiological protection. Match any specific treatment goal to appropriate testing and product documentation.

Good Installation Is Part of the Value

Feed-water connections, shutoffs, cabinet and storage-tank space, faucet location, drain routing and service access all matter. Optional refrigerator or ice-maker connections should also be planned for the selected equipment.

Our plumbing and filtration experience lets us consider the complete installation. You have a local team to call for due filters, sanitation when appropriate, tank checks, membrane evaluation and troubleshooting.

Already Own Another Brand? We Can Help.

You do not need a Water Fixers system to call us. We evaluate many existing brands for leaks, low flow, tanks that will not fill, constant running, faucet problems, overdue filters and membrane concerns.

We do not automatically recommend replacement. If your system is sound, supported and practical to service, keeping it can be the right decision. If obsolete parts, repeated leaks or several failing components make replacement more sensible, we can explain your options.

Five Questions to Ask Before Buying Any RO

  1. Which filters and membrane does this exact model use, and where can I obtain them?
  2. Can the tank, faucet, housings and fittings be serviced separately?
  3. What is included in the installed price and recurring maintenance quote?
  4. What happens if a cartridge or assembly is discontinued?
  5. Who will service it locally, and is treatment performance documented for my goals?

Compare purchase, filter, membrane, labor and repair costs over the same ownership period. The best value should make sense after installation day.

RO Ownership Questions

Do all Water Fixers models use universal filters?

No universal-fit promise applies across all seven systems. We identify the model and supplied configuration before selecting compatible filters, membranes and parts.

Do I replace every filter once a year?

A yearly service reminder is a useful starting point. Actual cartridge timing follows the installed filters, source water, use, service history and manufacturer guidance.

Must the membrane be replaced every three years?

No. Three years is a review checkpoint. Membrane replacement is a separate decision based on performance, operating conditions and the requirements of the installed equipment.

Why repair other brands if you recommend your own?

Helping customers maintain sound equipment is part of our service philosophy. We recommend replacement when equipment condition, available parts and repair needs support that decision.

Can a softener and RO work together?

They can serve different goals in the same home. A softener addresses whole-house hardness; under-sink RO supplies treated drinking and cooking water. See why serviceability also matters for water softeners.
